Robyn Elaine Lively was born on February 7, 1972 in Powder Springs, Georgia. Robyn began acting at tender age of three.
Her parents Ernie and Elaine Lively were already famous.
Her father Ernie an actor and her mother Elaine a talent manager.
Robyn grew into a very talented actress,
one of her largest roles to date playing reporter Lane MacKenzie
on the nightime drama "Savannah" a show that gave her
quite a large fanbase. Also appearing as Andrew Fox' squeeze on "Freshman
Dorm", and the object of Neil Patrick Harris' affection on
"Doogie Howser, MD". She was nominated for a Daytime Emmy
Award for her performance as the insecure teen in the 1991 ABC Afterschool
Special "Less Than Perfect Daughter". Lively began performing in TV
commercials at age three in her native Georgia and in 1978 played Kristy
McNichol's half-sister the more favored daughter in "Summer of My German
Solider" (NBC), which was filmed in Georgia. By the early 1980s she was
in Hollywood making guest appearances on TV series, such as "Knight Rider"
and "Punky Brewster".
She was the eldest daughter on the short-lived
series "Boone", for which she received a Youth in Film
nomination. Lively also had a recurring role on "Still the Beaver" (TBS)
in the mid-80s. In 1991, she was the smart, ambitious and very pregnant
daughter to Mary Kay Place in the TNT movie "Crazy From the Heart" and
in 1995 played Nurse Maggie Atkinson, love interest for Dr. Nyland, on
one season of "Chicago Hope" (CBS). Lively's feature film career began at age 12
alongside Robin Williams playing his daughter in "The Best of Times" (1986)
a comedy about a man (Williams) who lost a football game when he was a teenager and
couldn't let it go so he decided he would play the game again.
Followed by playing Goldie Hawn's daughter in yet another fun football comedy "Wild Cats",
and in 1989 she had two key roles: Ralph Macchio's love
interest in "The Karate Kid, Part III," and as a teen-ager with magical
powers in "Teen Witch". Which later became Robyn's most famous role.
Robyn's career has spanned from 1978 to the present.
Still acting today with a role in the 2000 Disney flick Santa Who?.
Soon followed guest spots on television shows such as "Crossing Jordan"
(2003), "JAG" (2003), "The Drew Carey Show" (2003), "American Dreams"
(2004), "Strong Medicine" (2004), "CSI: NY" (2005) and her most recent
"Nip/Tuck". She also starred in the Hallmark television movie starring
Kellie Martin "Mystery Woman: Snapshot" in 2005. Robyn has a unique talent that is displayed in each of her roles. With the longevity and the drive it seems as though she will be around for a long time.
Next Robyn will play Abbey Fisher, an investigative reporter, who has everything anyone could want out of life except her own family in the drama "A Dance for Bethany".
